Dear Parents,
This Sat, 8/31, DBCS will have regular classes, from 9:00-12:30pm.
Communication from the school will be posted online, please check regularly.
Some students are still shopping for classes, especially the elective classes. Please make up your mind soon. We have several elective classes that are already cancelled, due to the lack of enrollment. They are, Sing & Dance for kids Under 6, tennis, taekwondo, Chinese classics and choir. We have several elective classes that are currently open but need more enrollments: Flute, Zither, Chinese Culture and History, and Violin. If you are interested in these classes, or previously registered but were not able to attend, please let us know so that we can keep these great classes open.
Here are several announcements regarding elective classes on behalf of our teachers:
1. Mental Math class: please decide this week. The teaching cannot continue without textbook and equipment.
2. Robotics: there will be a parent meeting for students of Robotics class this Sat, in Room 563, from 11:30-12:30pm. There will be discussions and announcement about materials, time, and the coming competition. All parents of robotics students must attend. The class will no longer open after this week.
3. Parents of Zither class students, please talk to the teacher this week when picking up your child.
On behalf of our PTA, the dance class welcomes all parents. Dance teacher teaches a wide range of dances, you will have fun, no matter whether you come to show energy or grace. It is also possible that we may be able to use the facility from 9:30-10:30 for a different activity as long as we get enough interests and commitment.
